This Lewis Machine and Tool AR-15 Rifle features the MLC 5.56 Monolithic Piston Upper Receiver combined with the MARS Ambidextrous Lower Receiver. The upper features a 16” barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 1:7 twist rate and is held in the receiver by two Torx screws and allows for quick removal of the barrel from the system. The monolithic upper and free float M-LOK handguard are forged from a single block of aluminum and the barrel nut system provides a full 360 degrees of force to ensure the barrel is locked in. The upper receiver is compatible with a variety of LMT barrel lengths and calibers. The piston system features a standard and suppressed gas setting and the piston rod and spring are coated and cryogenically treated for long term durability.

The MARS lower receiver features completely ambidextrous controls built directly into the receiver. Additionally, it features the Lewis Machine & Tool EDM machined two stage trigger, winter trigger guard, QD endplate, and an ergonomic textured pistol grip.
